My introduction to Richard Sala's work was twenty years ago on the cd rom for The Residents Freak Show album, he designed a character called Herman The Human Mole for it. A Residents Freak Show comic anthology was published in 1992 featuring art and comics related to the album, Richard posted his Herman The Human Mole pages on his blog here. Around the same time I discovered Richard's "Invisible Hands" animation shorts featured on Liquid Television. Story board examples and additional art for Invisible Hands can be seen here.
Episodes from Invisible Hands can be found on youtube, here are links to the following episodes..
1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6
Check out Richard's blog to see the most up to date information related to his comics and art. His website can be found here.
A preview of the next Richard Sala book titled "The Hidden" can be seen here. The following is a panel from it.
Richard's artwork is for sale at the Comic Art Collective.
