It's by an Argentinian artist called Santiago Caruso, this is from a set of illustrations he did for H.P. Lovecraft's Dunwich Horror, he has a deviantart account here: http://s-caruso.deviantart.com/ and an official site: http://www.santiagocaruso.com.ar/index.html
Yes, indeed, it's by the great Santiago Caruso. A marvelously gifted draftsman and illustrator, who I would also like to see get into printmaking. He would make a great etcher/lithographer. The spirit of Goya, Daumier, Kubin, Redon and many other great masters of the fantastic all combined in one incredibly talented still young artist.
Thank you Aeron for uploading the image. Monster Brains Rocks! What a wonderful surprise to see my artwork here. I have a better version of the Lovecraft Monster here:http://galleries.santiagocaruso.com.ar/uploads/3/1/8/4/3184566/4635785_orig.jpeg
Thank you Christian for your gentle words and Jeff and Indra-Gora for the data to find me.
