Mat Brinkman's Maximum Ogredrive

I don't know how I missed this for so long but here it is, a 20 foot tall paper mache ogre by Mat Brinkman. And this is where I would normally link you to all of Mat's incredible comic work but Fort Thunder's website vanished back into whatever weird dimension it came from. I do have all of Brinkman's online comic archive from the original site saved somewhere. If I can dig them up I might post them sometime with permission from the right people.

Ogre found thanks to Jacob Covery at the Fantagraphics Blog. Photograph originally posted by Dan Nadel over at Comics Comics.

The ogre was at the Rhode Island School of Design's Museum in Providence, RI. It was displayed along with other collaborative work.

I wish I could have seen it in person, it needs another 3 or 4 buddies to hang with.

Man, if you can score the permission, I'd love to see more of Brinkman's work. I was lucky enough to score a sack of Brian Chippendale's homemade comics before he blew up. He sent them in a silk screen package!

I've got a stack of Paper Rodeos sitting around that I might scan stuff from and include in the Brinkman stuff that I got off the site, but whether I will post it to the public will be entirely up to the Fort Thunder Crew. I need to contact some people because I'd like to get this stuff back online as soon as possible. Skeleton Jelly is something the world should not be deprived of!
