is it just me, or is Gorgo busting a rhyme?

You have to love the titles too. 'Shriek of the Mutilated' - what more do you need to know?!?

The cover that always caught my eye in the local store as a kid was Maniac Cop. Anyways, loving this series!

#1. All of these video game box & vhs box art posts you do are amazing. It takes me back to my youth, walking though the local, small-town video rental store, just tripping on the artwork. Pure GOLD! No joke.
#2. If you've never seen Brain Damage, do yourself a gigantic favor: see it. You will never forget how totally wacked this film is. The little brain-sucker thing talks like a xanaxed Bing Crosby!

I agree with some of your other commenters that these cause intense nostalgia. Thanks!

Someone out there gets to say that they came up with and produced blood bags for "Bleeders." I'm jealous.

I had the vhs box for Bleeders with the blood bag. no idea whatever happened to it. I was obsessed with horror films when I was a child, I remember getting to go home from school for being sick when I was in grade school and watching Brain Damage for the tenth odd time, probably not the best movie to watch when you're sick.

OMG, the cover of Fulci's Gates Of Hell/City Of The Living Dead! in the front says "This film contains scenes not apt for sensible people" but in the back it says "apt for all audiences"

Agreeing with many of the commenters this post brings back some HEAVY nostalgia. Seeing these covers gives me flashbacks of old video stores and blockbusters and being both terrified and intrigued by the covers, pulling them from the shelves to examine the art. Especially the Bleeders cover that one really stuck with me and probably inspires much of what I illustrate today.
