The Warren mags may have been aesthetically superior, but ya just gotta love these covers. They're look like something Grandma Moses would have done if she's been a horror artist; such a wacky mish-mosh of elements (often cut & pasted in from previous covers). Imagine what these guys coulda done with PhotoShop!

I particularly enjoy the over the top cartoonish gore and violence, it's like watching a bunch of monster models fighting each other, I love it. The robotic parts coming out of some of the wounds are also fantastically bizarre.

I don't understand why they felt compelled to copy many of these covers over and over, with small added details between them, I guess the artist couldn't keep up or they chose a cheaper route vs paying the artist for additional original covers.
