I saw a pre-show at Alamo Drafthouse recently that was basically a 5-7 minute cartoon comprised wholly of art from these covers. It was a journey through a haunted manor, a torture chamber, a lab, and a graveyard, and it was just image after image of art lifted straight from Tales Of Voodoo. There was even limited "animation", as the art was manipulated to make certain characters stab or flap or claw or whatnot, just back and forth, back and forth. It had the same level of sophistication as those 1960s Spider-Man cartoons.

Anyone else seen this, or know where to find it on the ol' Intertubes?

I shared the video last Halloween which I was thinking of when I decided to do these posts. Great short bringing these fantastic scenes to life! http://monsterbrains.blogspot.com/2010/10/happy-halloween.html

Ah, too cool! Heh, I'm the guy who made that Eerie Publications video and I was going to chime in here with some shameless self-promotion but it looks like that turf has been completely covered -- thanks a lot you guys, very glad to hear that folks dug it.

(Oh and Justin you completely nailed the crude "limited animation" look I was after. In fact I actually used several of the 1966 Marvel Super Hero cartoons as reference when making it which helped me out a lot [especially because I'd never tried any animation stuff at all before.])

And holy smokes Aeron -- these are some of the best Eerie Pubs scans I've ever seen! Thanks so much for sharing your fantastic collection here and in every other post year-round. Very nice.
