Yoshitaka Amano - Deva-Loka

"The Galerie Michael Janssen Berlin is pleased to present the solo exhibition by Yoshitaka Amano. 30 new works, as well as new anime films will be on view until the end of February at the Berlin gallery space. With its 7 meters the largest painting, Deva-Loka, depicts a fabled world completely filled with psychedelic figures."

Pictures from the exhibit can be found at the gallery website here. A better source for artwork from the show, as the works are much larger, can be found at the "We Make Money, Not Art" flickr page for the Amano exhibit here.
More paintings from the exhibit can be found on Artnet and Calamasque's flickr photos. An article on the exhibit can be found at Creative Europe.com

I have a few Amano art books and a lot of his art downloaded from various places and intend to do a large post on his stuff possibly later this year. I don't care for Final Fantasy games but I can't resist looking through the game guides at bookstores to see his incredible artwork that is usually used in them. I regret not buying a book I saw a few years ago that had a detailed map from Final Fantasy that Amano had painted which was I think a fold out poster / cover on the book. I've since found it posted on flickr here, although not in great detail. If anyone knows where I can find this fantasy map painting by Amano in more detail I'd like to check it out, thanks!

I was not a huge fan of Amano's work but I like these paintings. Great colours ant great movement in it.
