This is the lower section of Eyck's masterpiece painting of the Last Judgement. The painting is dated between 1425 - 30, the medium is oil on canvas transferred from wood. Click here to see the full composition.
Below is a similar painting of the Last Judgement by Petrus Christus from 1452. This is a section of the right wing from a triptych on wood. Obviously this painting took some inspiration from Eyck's version above. Here is a link to the full composition from this particular panel of the triptych.
