Lucas Cranach Sr - The Last Judgement






The above pictures are from a painting (oil on wood) of the Last Judgement, dated between 1525 and 1530. Painting found thanks to this Flickr photo collection.

The above woodcut from 1512 by Cranach is one of the earlier depictions of a werewolf.

Wojtek Siudmak












"Siudmak, an artist of Polish origin, settled in France in 1966 and is considered one of the principal representatives of fantastic realism.."

I noticed a similarity between Sidumak and another Polish artist, Zdzislaw Beksiński. I'm always amazed at the dark fantastic imaginations of so many of the artists from that area.
