Jun Suemi

There's not a lot of info online for this artist but I did find this small bit of biographical information on the Square Haven website.
"Jun Suemi is a manga illustrator. His early work in videogame illustration included monster design for Sir-Tech's Wizardy titles. He has done character illustrations for such videogames as Front Mission 2. More recently, he contributed card illustrations to Culdacept Saga."

See more of his paintings in this gallery. Jun illustrated a series of cards most of which are inspired by monsters, click the links near the bottom of this page to see examples.

More Fighting Fantasy

The cover to a Fighting Fantasy magazine cover titled Wizard, looks like the crate monster from Creepshow. More covers from this magazine can be found here.

Above is a Lovecraft inspired piece of art from the Fighting Fantasy series found in this gallery.

Another Fighting Fantasy book cover. See more examples of this book cover here.

The top few black and white drawings were made for a Fighting Fantasy book titled "Blood Bones" more of which can be seen in this gallery at Fighting Fantasy Collector. The color painting isn't part of the Fighting Fantasy books but is one of my favorite works by the artist. You can see more of Tony Hough's art in this gallery or on his official website here.

Above are sketches by Ian Miller for various Fighting Fantasy book covers. See more here. See more Fighting Fantasy book covers here and here.

Fighting Fantasy

The above paintings are all covers from an RPG book series titled Fighting Fantasy which was published from 1982 through 95. It was designed for single players, similar to the Zork or Choose Your Own Adventure series. But unlike those series of books Fighting Fantasy used a dice system for combat and other situations. Read more about the book series here. The official website for Fighting Fantasy can be found here. This list shows all of the artists that contributed to the book series, the Ian Miller ones should be obvious.

Tomorrow I'll be posting more art associated with this series.

Dragon Magazine #96 Cover

I'm downloading this giant (9.84 gigs) worth of Dungeons and Dragons magazines to pick through for a later post but for now enjoy this very surreal cover of a bizarre dragon machine. Below is a similar machine, I lost track of the origins although the artist name is likely somewhere on the wing.
