Monster Brains began on this day in 2006, over half a decade later and I'm still finding amazing monster related artworks on a regular basis. Starting this year you'll be seeing a variety of new Monster Brains logos by many of my favorite artists, Matt Furie contributed the first and Johnny Ryan made a great one that will be revealed in February. I'd still like to get around to making Monster Brains tshirts, one of these days, and progress continues, slowly but steadily, on a book version of the site.
Now dig into the archives and enjoy a vast assortment of abominations!
A brief biography on Mellmann can be found here. A variety of fairy tales as illustrated by Heinz Mellmann, and a few other artists, can be viewed here. The artworks were created as hand colored slides that would have been viewed as projected images on a wall.
