New Poll I'm thinking about making shirts like the one above, more specifically, a shirt like the one above, for me. Depending on if there's interest I might make a few available for sale on here.
The logo is downright iconic. Anyone who might see it away from the Web (in a bar, at a convention, passing someone on the street) might stop and ask, "What's that? What's Monster Brains?"
Additionally, I think it's a great way to support your efforts. Not only would I be supporting the blog by increasing its visibility (which extends its life and, therefore, my enjoyment of it), but I'd also be giving something back to you for the time and energy you spend pulling together some truly monstrous posts.
Thanks King, and everyone. I want the quality to be top of the line for whatever materials are used so that wont' be a problem. I've got some ideas for a possible additional design on the backside that I might leave up to a vote as to whether it is included or not. Additional graphics will mean more printing costs.
It would be fun to have the backside covered in a grid formation of small squares against the black shirt, with snippets of old engravings, etc. BUT that will require some serious investigating so far as copyright issues. We'll see. If you were wearing the shirt and someone asked what was Monster Brains, that grid of dozens of small cropped imagery depicting monsters would sum it up very well. Then a minimal approach with nothing on the back might be better and more cost effective.
Oh WOW! seeing it on a shirt looks pretty awesome... just wanted to say that I (too) think it's a great way for us to give back for all the GREAT posts you give us.... and a its a cool shirt. :]
