Jacob Isaacsz Swanenburg - Last Judgement
This painting is dated between 1600 - 1638. I'm always looking for more paintings by Swanenburg so if anyone knows of any links, please share, thanks!

Christoph Jamnitzer Etchings

There are four pages worth of etchings from Jamnitzer over at the Amsterdam Museum for Art and History. A few of these works can be found as much larger scans in this previous article on Jamnitzer at Giornale Nuovo.

Daniel Hopfer - Grotesque Animal Heads

Here is a strange etching from Daniel Hopfer. The date is unknown but would have been from either late 14th to early 15th century.

Arent van Bolten's Grotesque Beasts

I stumbled across some large copies of Bolten's grotesque beast engravings. I've posted some of these before but much smaller. These larger copies should make for some half decent prints. And I just found a few more that I'd never seen before. There are more that I haven't posted that can be found in the Amsterdam Museum online gallery.

Previous posts on Bolten's art can be found here, here and here.

Dosso Dossi - The Dream
The bird like characters standing in the background really creep me out! I wouldn't trust those things as far as I could throw them.

hand-coloured etching, published in London.
Brian McKenzie - Tattoos and Corpses

The above are some old tattoos ( transfers ) from Wrigleys chewing gum from around 1972, that my pal Brian McKenzie was nice enough to scan in and share with me. He's been working on an incredible series of exquisite corpse prints based around fantastic creatures. The image below is an example of some of the many different combinations from this series. I encourage everyone to visit Brian's art blog here to see more!
